German Chancellor Angela Merkel says the US detention camp at Guantanamo Bay "should not exist", in an interview days before she meets George W Bush.
In the interview to be published on Monday, Mrs Merkel criticises the US camp in Cuba, saying "different ways" should be found to deal with prisoners.
She can't manage to come up with any suggestions of a "different way", but I suppose it would require our battlefield enemies being subject to the same legal process as someone caught shoplifting in Tescos.

This reminds me of the Pantaqno case here in the states.If all these REMF's are more concerned about what weeny and toothless human rights groups want they should just get out of the army,the military is no place to be doing this.They are playing with fire from all this Political Correctness nonsense.Rotty,I don't know about you but I think it is high time the left start paying a severe price for this fooliness that they continue to force feed down our throats to our peril.But,I believe the only way that is gonna happen is through blood,their ivory towers have protected them long enough.

Hey Mr. Bartlett all I said is if we do get attacked I will not be surprised if the NYT's building was attacked I wouldn't be surprised.I didn't say go and kill em all,Although I know of persons who personally feel that way,but,what do you expect to happen when you deliberately and willfully leak information that helps our enemies I don't think mere protest is gonna solve that problem.I want to make it clear if they are successful in us being attacked again,The American people aren't gonna be happy at all.I don't believe our response will be the same as it was the first time around.
