What worries me most is that Ryan Jensen has actually had one decent, full season pitching in the majors. The might lead Baird to believe that Jensen is capable, and...well, you know.
To be brutally honest, the only real reason Wood and Gobble should be chosen over Jensen is age, as Jensen will be 30 this year. If the Royals were slated to contend, then it wouldn't matter nearly as much to me.
Jensen is a junkballer, but he can locate well when he's on...many called him a right-handed Kirk Reuter after his decent season in 2002, when he went 13-8.
But I digress -- Jensen shouldn't be on the Opening Day roster unless injuries occur, or unless everyone else who's up for the rotation is just horrible all spring while he's doing well.
