I took my stepson out front with a carton of eggs (not yet boiled eggs) and talked to him about soft hands - my dad did this with me. I told him he had to keep his eye on the "ball" in order to catch it and then we tossed the eggs back and forth catching it with soft hands. We went through the whole carton, but we not only had fun, he figured out the concept of soft hands.
