Comment 1: Should we circle the books we've never even heard of? (e.g., #1 -- is that that title or the name of the authors?)
I think I've revealed myself as a philistine.
Comment 2: Strange list. Almost all fiction, but a weird collection of non-fiction. I got "Collapse" for Christmas, and I really want to read it, but it is in that huge stack of books I mean to read someday.
Comment 3: "Can't stand all those yokels speaking in yokelish."
Oh, how I agree! I despise books with excessive dialect (excessive being anything more than two lines).
I'm generally opposed to burning books, but I'll look the other way in some cases.

I never heard of #1 either. And as for Yokelish, I still bear the scars I got from reading Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch, which someone unwisely bought for me as a child. Six-year-olds shouldn't be exposed to Yokelish.
