$\"Gravatar\"$ Style is an odd thing as a film writer, isn't it? You could try your style in action and description but the audience wouldn't know it as it's translated into pictures and edits. Dialogue is maleable with directors and actors (whether we agree or disagree).

Style seems to be something left for others when working as a film writer. Tell the story and however the story speaks to you will become your style.

$\"Gravatar\"$ Yes, it's too bad, but you're right. Only the premiere screenwriters get their style of dialog onto the screen. (Robert Towne.) Likewise the top-drawer screenwriters get to tell the stories they wish to tell. (Charlie Kaufman.) But by and large, scripts are considered \"blueprints for movies\" rather than literature. Especially in our \"auteur\"-driven industry. Just today I heard a famous and highly successful director call scriptwriting \"cinematic dictation.\" Disgusting, his apologies and disclaimers notwithstanding.
