I am still stuck with Microsoft Word. I tried other programs such as Sophocles and an early version of Movie Magic... but a good screenplay template and a few macros and it is cake for me. But, if someone gave me a free copy -- I'd at least play with it.

How do you use Word -- with custom-made macros in a package, or homebrew macros? I take it you're a Windows guy. As I mentioned, I used Word + macros for years, so I'm certainly not agin' it. The only insurmountable problem I have found is if you're actually involved in the TV production pipeline. Things like "locked pages" and "A-B pages" can't efficiently and reliably be handled by Word. As for a free copy -- I don't even know of a vendor that's offering a trial copy. But I bet you could find someone who's offering a money-back guarantee. And as far as Sophocles is concerned -- feh, in my humble opinion.
