I'm really sorry to hear about Lola, she was a sweetie.
I think this page should have your answer.
While a urinary problem is the most probably cause, the cat may also be trying to cover the odor of Lola in the bedroom.
The citrus cleaners are a good idea, but read the whole thing.

I was saddened to hear about Lola. I am sorry.
As for your new kitty peeing on the bed, I have a friend that has a cat that does that. She has other cats in the house, and they use the litter box as they have been trained. My friend finds that when her cat is all strung out from anxiety, she is more likely to pee on the bed. If the neighbor cats come over and howl at the window, then she knows to close the bedroom door so the kitty can't get on the bed. Have you talked to the vet about her?

I didn't know about Lola. I'm very sorry to hear that; no pet should have to come to such an end. And dogs that aggressive should be, at a minimum, securely locked in at their own home.
As to Misstache (great name, BTW), I think Bryan has good advice... something must be medically wrong for her to be doing that. Good luck.
