Favorite BOOK? Way too numerous to mention. For instance, there's The Stand and It from Stephen King, And the Seeker Of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind, and... See what I mean? I could go on for ever.
Wait, I do have a favorite, but it's one of the slowest books I have ever read. I read it about once a year, just to remind myself of the principles. It's Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. EVERYONE needs to read this book. If you really read it, and not just skim over it, it will change your way of thinking. Guaranteed!

Goodkind is good, LORDY! that man takes a lot of time to tell the story.
oh, and anything by Turtledove, Elizabeth Moon, Orson Scott Card, David Drake ,.. okay.. that's enough.
