The Veterans deserve love and respect.They were the ones who faced it all without the fear of their lives,faced so many hardships,tackled so many impossibilities and made victory possible.
Ryan you quoted this to the point that they sacrificed their lives,comfort and safety so that we could be safe and secure.
With the current wars going on overseas the people who are right now facing so many threats might some day look at us to find a supporting smile among thousands of 'unknown' countrymen.They need encouragement and acceptance that they form a very respectable part of our society.
