Gravatar I knew you would love it!!!! Hey we are semi-twins, ya know! I think I will wear this tomorrow. I didn't get this one at first. But when I did, I fell hard. Love, love, love it. My favorite rose.

Gravatar Yep, agreed. This is about as securely sexy as scents come. Knock em dead, beautiful!

Gravatar You put it beautifully, pretty lady.
This one is both beauty, and sensuality combined.

I wish I'd been in your scented space...

Gravatar Victoria, it's true! We are semi-twins as well! I try everything you recommend to me. The latest thing I want to get my hands on is some of that Island Hawaii. I haven't made it over to Sephora yet, but when I do...

Le Maroc is bottle-worthy. No question about it!

Gravatar Leo! Lovely to see you...It really is a sexy scent, yet so subtle and easy to wear, and so comforting.

Have a lovely day!

Gravatar Good morning dear Chaya! I tell you, I was in a scented space close to heaven. I'm wearing another perfume today, and I'm seriously afraid today won't be as good as Monday or Tuesday. I'm like Cinderella after the ball, right back to the old ways.

Happy Wednesday to you and yours.

Gravatar absolutely my favourite of Andy's stable - gorgeous.

Gravatar Welcome Heather! How can you choose? I haven't tried Lonestar Memories yet, and it sounds almost impossible to get one's hands on Orris...but to be torn four ways instead of two, trying to pick a favorite? That would be too much!

Gravatar Pour Elle is sexy in an exotic, mysterious way as opposed to sexy in a brash and outright way. Someone said it best (in a review): "Le Maroc Pour Elle is a pefume to wear in Casablanca."

Gravatar Hello! I was directed to your blog by your husband, and am now studying the fragrance reviews... Great site! All I ever wear is L'Occitane's Eau du Val, which was actually a gift from my mom. Perfume frightens me, I am glad there is someone dealing with the adventurous part. Otherwise I'd smell like magnolia forever.

Gravatar IrisLA, I don't follow...you don't think *I* said it best? LOL...I do love that image. It's right on.

Gravatar Welcome Pez! I know who you are, although Bob didn't tell me he was spilling the beans about my blog. Let me know if you have any questions. I just started this last year, and there are so many things to try. There's an option for everyone!

Gravatar I really have to try it! I'm in love with L'air du desert marocain, I enjoy Lonestar memories, Orris wasn't really my cup of tea but beautifully done I'm sure. I put it off because I'm afraid of florals, but my taste is evolving and I think I'm ready for some roses now. I mean I know I am after Black Aoud and Paestum Rose.

Gravatar Solander, this has beautiful floral notes, but I wouldn't call it an out-and-out floral. The rose is actually quite subtle. If rose and jasmine grew on a cedar tree, the overall scent that tree would produce would be what you smell in Le Maroc, flowers with soft, woodsy depth.

Gravatar Actually, when first I smelled this, a few years ago, the first thing I thought of was dessert. Not dessert as in sweet, cavity-inducing and such, but dessert as in creamy, sensuous, dusted with cinnamon or some other spice, safe and comforting, and yet transporting you completely into another space, another world, where a bite or spoonful is a moment of sensual nirvana. Turkish rice-pudding (sütlaç), or Portuguese "pasteis de nata", cream tarts. Or the best cake of your life. It makes you feel sexy, or even better: it makes you feel sensual. And safe at the same time, because the sensuality is part of what you are, not something you have to live up to. WHAT a fragrance!

Gravatar Yes, dinazad...absolutely! I was thinking this morning that the effect is almost unconscious, like pheromones. And I love your description of the desserts! I love subtle desserts, things that aren't over-sweet, and Le Maroc does have this same feel.

Gravatar I agree, this is one of the best perfumes ever - but it's seriously sensual and not for wearing just anywhere! I feel different when I wear it too, like I have a special secret. It is so womanly and sexy it feels like a special occasion just to put it on.

Gravatar Flora, it does feel like a special occasion just to put it on...that's why I think it can work at any time you need a little confidence, or to feel like you're in the middle of a warm embrace...unless, of course, it makes you lose all control!

Gravatar this one is like 24, faubourg - on steroids! i wonder if your reaction was aromatherapeutically based - both rose and jasmine are good for balancing our hormones. i know i feel better when i wear them. sexy is just one piece of it, too.

Gravatar Minette, that's an interesting observation. It certainly gave me a sense of well-being. I haven't sniffed 24 Faubourg. Sounds like I should!

Gravatar I'm so glad that you liked it. Of course, I knew you would. It's such an amazing scent and dinazad up there is right on the money. It does have more than a hint of the very best Middle Eastern dessert, those that are laced with delicate rose water and are made of something very creamy and rich, without assaulting your taste buds.

As for the new Hawaii, I tried it on today, but despite a lovely opening (way better than the two older Islands) it turned very sour very fast on my poor, unsuspecting skin. Sephora is no longer a fragrance heaven for me. I keep getting hit with scrubbers.
