you know, i looked up mercury retrograde last week because it's one of those things i always hear about but never knew what it meant. i think it ended today (or yesterday, with the full moon, a propos) and today is the solstice! hooray! i can appreciate petite cherie but find it too fruity on my skin. i'm back to fleurs d'oranger again today, but only because i haven't worn it since last friday...
have a good weekend!

Despite my husband's opinion that it "smells like B.O.," I'm wearing Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune. Why? Because I love it. By the time I see him this evening, it should have faded sufficiently enough. But when I was trying to decide what to wear this morning, a wonderful, light citrus was all I wanted.

Nikki, is it over today? Really? I thought it was retrograde until the 26th. But true, it is the solstice. Happy summer!

Karin, that's so funny. I have some perfumes I like that my husband does not love so much...he thinks Miel de bois smells like car air freshener--or he so he said when I wore it last! Have a lovely weekend!

Happy Solstice to all!
I'm wearing Caron Bellodgia extrait and trying to stay indoors today. I don't think 100 degrees heat and Bellodgia go together that well, but I couldn't help it

Hi Greeneyes,
Today I'm trying Idole de Lubin. This is definitely one for me! I always seem to go for the woody types. This one's really nice.
Have a great weekend!

Thank goodness Mercury retrogade is at an end - it hit me badly this time round. True story: I went to put on Sacrebleu last weekend and the whole perfume atomizer and lid came apart in my hand (the part that was crimped to the bottle came right off with the lid). I couldn't believe it!
Today I'm wearing Amouage Jubilation 25. Perfection! Have a great weekend, everyone.

Hi again, Greeneyes!
Just wanted to let you know that my husband and I just returned from dinner. As we were getting up to leave, our server complimented me on my perfume! Looks like Idole de Lubin is one I'll have to own!

I wore Petite Cherie earlier...I love it.
Yesterday was a day for Voile d'Ida-
a new, orris/ oak/oakmoss /myrrh base, with a touch of aldehyde C14 in the top, and tolu / bamboo in the heart-
Very woody / rooty/ dry green, but soft.
Needs a touch less tolu, bit more bamboo, and oakmoss amping up.
Love you, pretty thing !
[Sometimes, it takes a few days for Mercury to settle down....]

Claudia, I love Idole. DK Black Cashmere is a very close relative to Idole. I can't believe they've discontinued it!

Suzanne...Sacrebleu! I had several over-application errors in the last week, myself: spillage, pointing the atomizer in the wrong direction, you name it!

Dear Chaya...Voile d'Ida?! My it sounds lovely!
Someone sent me this Petite Cherie last year, and I just remembered it out of the blue. I think it may be BW, which surprised me.
Hugs and kisses to you!
