Don't hold back. Tell me what you REALLY think.

Gravatar Cool. I have a Makarov, and it's a great little pistol.

Gravatar Awesome! I think you're going to be really happy with it. You pretty much won't go wrong with a CZ.

Margie has the CZ-83, which, according to what I have read, is the same gun but marketed to the civilian market. Her's is chambered for the stock .380. That Makarov round is a fire breather!

If you want to spruce it up some, I found a very reasonable grip maker in Hungary, Dennis Marschal, that does some very nice work. The grip makers on this side of the globe either don't design for that frame or abandoned it because the complexity of the ambidextrous safety comlicates the cuts past the point of making it a profitable venture.

I see it came with the standard military issue style holster. That's good because I had some difficulty finding a holster for Margie's. All in all, however, it was the best .380 we looked at when we finding her a semi-auto. The

Gravatar Think I missed an end tag there. Suffice it to say I really like my CZ's a lot.

Gravatar You are a mind reader Clint.

One of the things that I'm going to mention is that grips are a little cheap and flimsy. I didn't think I'd find replacements for them anywhere. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Gravatar I open carry in the issue holster. So far it has only been recognized as a gun twice(as far as I know. Open carry is not common in Idaho). Both were positive experiences.
For fun when you out shoot someone at the range, show them you did it with a "smooth bore".
