I like what you say here, John. If you look at the Great Commission, we preach the good news to the lost to bring them to salvation, but we preach to the found to build discipleship. Thanks for the link and for the outstanding post. Peace.

Hi neighbor. You have put very well what I also feel. I am bored out of my mind in my church....the one you also know about.

People are leaving in droves.

The new pastor is a nice guy but as dead as a doornail.

The only saving grace for me is the Sunday School class I am in, which is the most exceptional adult church class I've ever attended. It is absolutely interactive and Socratic. But beyond that it makes everyone think. No wonder it is one of the largest SS class in the church.

Thanks for allowing me vent my frustrations.

Preach Christ crucified from the text and you will reach both unsaved, saved, and mature believers. Of course, the gospel will also be "foolishness" to those who do not believe as 1 Corinthians says.
