Truly a sad and scary commentary. Without juries willing to rule on the facts, there is no justice. Thank you for posting your experience.

A few years back I was forced (by a lack of evidence of intent) to convince my fellow jurors to acquit a (likely) guilty man. We got the verdict by carefully reading and discussing the statute. However, had I not been there, the other jurors' antipathy to the defendant might have convicted him. Justice might have been better served, but at what cost?
Mostly I get kicked off juriy panels fast, apparently electronics types are too independent for any lawyer. They all want sheep.
