I can understand those who did a lot of posting on it before not wanting to be in this discussion. Personally I've been enjoying the discussion at Phils since I didn't get into it before. So it's a nice change for me the last couple of days.
I see what you mean about the archetypes. My concerns are about some of the "middle ground" stuff too though.

I agree with you completely. The problem does not lie with God, but squarly on our shoulders. God is not limited by our understanding of Him. He is completely able to do whatever He wants whenever He wants. The fact that He chooses not to at this point in time, says more about us than it does about Him. The modern church is so far removed from the early church in regards to the Holy Spirit that it only seems that He has quit working.
