Kerry has already started the ball rolling with his comments as a guest on the news programs this [Sunday] morning.
In the coming weeks we can depend on the MSM to attribute every death in Iraq to the holding of premature elections in a country ill prepared for such democracy.
Kerry's comments today were the equivalent of Nancy Pelosi on April 9th or 10th, 2003, publicly stating that we could have brought down that statue (of Hussein) for a much lower price (whatever that means).
Kerry actually managed to say one worthwhile thing today. I will try to include his one worthwhile comment in a later post.
I think the process of turning around on a dime may be a little tougher this time. Some significant number of non moonbat Democrats have been disagreeing with the Smimmer. I suspect that a lot of them will have a tougher time changing their story for the expediency of going along with the Lefties. That's not to say, however, that we don't have to be vigilent.
Ramrod, I hope you are right. But think back to 9-12-01. Remember the mood of the country? The unity? The determination on everyone's part to do what had to be done?
Could you have imagined on that day that the MSM storyline re: 9-11 would ultimately be little more than a convuluted "blame Bush" scenario? If you hear mention of 9-11 today in the MSM, you are as likely to hear about a pet goat as you are to hear about heroic firemen or Todd Beamer. We can't predict how the MSM will try to turn this around, but they will try.
I think you nailed it. The MSM is running a marathon. We better be sure we are not running a sprint.
Ted the Head started the spin last week, "Get the Troops out of there." sorry , we are going to have troops there for a long time, just as we have them in Europe,Japan and Korea.Can you imagine how unstable Europe would have been all these years if not for the Americans being there?
