Is anyone really surprised at the language used by liberals? They rarely can defewnd their position through rational arguments (their positions are rarely rational) and are forced to attack conservatives by resorting to name-calling. Liberals have consistently demonstrated this (Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton come to mind). Let's hope Ms Malkin and Ms Coulter (my future wife!) continue to be called names. This will only show the world what absolute idiots liberal truly are.

I don't know what it is about the Left of Liberaldom that always makes them personalize with pejoratives, as in ad hominem, their attacks on those who do not follow their fascist, marching-in-step ideology.
As a matter of fact, just yesterday I was asked by a Canadian blogger how to handle any attacks from the Left, and I simply told him, before this story below came out, that when you have successfully pierced, penetrated, exposed the Left for their deceitful approaches to influencing the general public, you then become fair game to them for nothing but personal attacks.
Mean, vicious, even vile personal attacks.

Those comments were accumulated over years. Michelle Malkin and conservatives receive this type of e-mail every day.
Memekiller's point is valid in that if we dislike that sort of behavior from the left we should be very vocal is displaying our disgust at it when weilded by the right.
Arguing over which side is 'worse' seems silly and futile. There is no excuse for that sort of childish vulgarity, no matter how often it is employed or who is employing it.
I also think that claiming an entire side of the political spectrum is wrong or dumb or whatever because some of it's adherents use vulgarity is foolish.
More than just a few leftists use this kind of vulgarity. Check Michelle Malkin's trackbacks. Many leftist bloggers enjoyed and endorsed the language. The left is about power, not reason. The vulgarity is a manifestation of that power.
