The problem with trying to influence the outcome of events with fantasy poll results is that there is no consistant evidence showing which way events will be affected.
Does a poll showing Kerry winning energize his supporters or Bush's or does it make them give up? Does it give further momentum to the debate in Congress? Which side? If the polls support you, do you step up your game or relax? What does the other side do?
No! There is a bigger reason for skewing polls their way. It is the only function that the MSM still serves, it is their last-ditch line in the sand: "Maintaining The Delusion!"
As crazy as they are now, can you imagine the crack-up if they had to face the Truth?

If by any unusual chance that a poll fails to produce the desired result, the media won't publish it. They skew the results by omission as well.
