first!!!
erm, i have nothing to say other than to suggest that you need to add another row to your excel spreadsheet: interaction betweeen the two children. right now you are in the privileged position of outnumbering him. if another one comes along it'll be two against two. i worry about those odds, no matter what month (s)he'll be born in.
and i say this as a september baby who was/is crap at sports (unless you consider gymnastics a sport, and if we're going down that road, we might as well go nuts and add golf to the list).

I had no idea that you played the violin. On top of the bathmat stuff, this is just revelation after revelation.

Even if your wonderful boy is the oldest in the class he will be emotionally less advanced than half the year. It just is that way with boys so go ahead and have an August baby, then at least it will be ceap and imature. Unless of course she is of course a girl...

I am afraid January babies are also able to have their birthday at the worst possible time (right at the end of the winter break, when after Christmas and New Years nobody wants to party or spend money on yet another present), be crap at sports, wear glasses, be good at maths, and play the violin.
At least I suppose.
I play the viola.

Hello and welcome, Sandwich Filling. You are forgetting that as well as inheriting my footballing genes, my son has inherited my emotional maturity genes. A quick look around this blog shows that he and any younger brothers have nothing to fear there.

I decided to be practical and have 3 summer babies (note: 2 of the 3 are twins and were far easier to manage than their younger brother).
Summer babies are much more fun as when their birthdays come round you don't have to have a house full of sweaty kids - you can simply throw them out in the garden.
That's my view on kids: they must be practical.

I am an August baby, married to an August baby with two August-born little ducks.
We're just a family of well-planned cheapskates.

The baby making event planned for 2009? At least that gives you plenty of time to get the baby trained in not disturbing you at that exact moment. Or is that kind of training included in the very expensive childcare? (Guess that would make it all worth it.)

February 11- Daniel Day Lewis, Kayne West, Amy Winehouse and Salvadore Vincent are all declared winners.
Congratulations on winning POTW.
We hope you revel in the glory without making the tabloids.

Taconcubano - I know my baby doesn't sleep much, but grabbing two minutes should be no problem. Oh...
Asta - Hurrah and thank you. If there is no cash prize then we are looking into getting the second one raised by wolves. There are some north London ones with good Ofsted reports.

I know we're not talking penalty shoot-outs here, and I'm not suggesting you might miss the target, but it's always possible that it might take more than one attempt. Do you think that it might be wise to risk a July baby and have a go in October first? A trial run, as it were.

Yep, need that xls sheet.
Got a 4 month October-based littlun of my own and so far she's been a cheap date. Can wait for the spendage however.

cmon, don't postpone all intimate relations till 2009! there're other birth control options, ya know. yeah, now that we're done with the silly joke, I was born in September and somehow turned out almost like the hypothesized August baby. That's coz my parents decided to pull a few strings and get me into school earlier. The sooner they could get rid of me the better, I reckon.

Hello and welcome, Aishwarya. I like your idea of getting him into school a year early. What about two years? Or three?
I reckon he could start now.

You're going about this all wrong! I'm an April baby, exactly half way between September and September, so never too many expectations, (just as well really.) Having said that, I cocked up my 2 Spring babies by having them far too bloody early!

Why do you think I waited six years before doing it again? Only one set of childcare costs. More or less. Also, the first one was a May baby and this next one will be July. Something I know a lot about - indeed, the bloody thing is due on my birthday. Anyone fancy coming to a birthday-stroke-baby-birthing-at-home party?
