LOL! Good call. I profess over and again that professionalism and not oversharing is key, but as a former standup and improv comic, I sometimes find something hilarious but inappropriate spilling out of my mouth. Sometimes it turns out okay because of my audience. Every every now and then, though, I get a funny look. I have to backtrack and say, "dude, I'm kidding, it's a joke, didn't mean to freak you out." The four rules hopefully will help me check myself before I wreck myself.


Gravatar I do think that spontaneity can really work if you have a sense of who you're talking to (or with). I think improv must be great practice for that.
