Wow. By those two criteria, 99% of the people I work with right now are assholes. Particularly those with tenure.

Yup.
And the not having an office with a door I can close in their faces. Instead I have to hide out in the ladies' room every once in awhile.

I got a little chill when I read "rainmaker." (to alleviate outside confusion, I worked for a Silicon Valley company called just that)But Rainmaker never would have paid for anger management training.
I've worked for an asshole, for about a month. People kept leaving. Nothing ever got done. When people were teary eyed when I explained how to work the cash register because they'd been there two months and the boss would just belittle them if they asked how to do something, I knew it was time to leave.
