Glad you found our article on hanging pictures helpful. I also tested the holding capasity of the various types of picture hangers and will post the results on our website soon. While the spring wire (i.e. Monkey Hook) came in low on the list as far as the number of pounds held, it still managed to support 40 pounds before it started to pull out of drywall, which is more than all but the heaviest paintings weigh.
