Dry cat food rocks. And doesn't stink. Easy to clean, easy to measure, easy to store.

I know what you mean about the stinky poop though. One of my cats (now in a new home as I'm out of the UK) was a long-haired one. She had the runs for a few days and I watched her lying on her side, leg cocked, licking her puckered starfish and the surrounding shit-smeared fur.

Then she farted. It bubbled out. I could see, hear and smell it. She didn't stop licking.

Ew.

Gravatar Yuk.

Gravatar I recall one summer going to visit my mate from uni who had two cats.

Within minutes of entering her flat, I was furiously scratching my legs which were being eaten alive by fleas, who must have thought they'd hit the jackpot as I was wearing shorts...

"Funny," my mate commented, "I've not been bitten at all." Great - so the fleas were starving!

I left after a fitful, itchy weekend with 6 bites on my legs.

Just thinking about it makes me want to scratch!

Gravatar Ah yes, the joys of being owned by a cat...

Our Raptor has had a dodgy stomach since she was born. Cost us a small fortune when she was a kitten, having her tested to find out what was wrong. Vets couldn't find anything. So we've just put up with it for the last 16 years...

Gravatar Dry food is definitely the answer. Cats are great. Your friends' companion animals seem to have issues which I suspect is a reflection on your friends. I hope that you've recoverd from this traumatic experience by now and will get back to blogging soon...

Gravatar There's something physically wrong with those cats. I hope their owners get them to the vet, and think about changing their diets.

Gravatar Are you ok? You haven';t posted for a long time.
