Advice from my physiotherapist is not to use backsupports unless really necessary, as this further weakens your back muscle. Instead try to go swimming a couple of times a week to train them.. Hope you feel better!

It isn't that I have a weak back, but is being used till the muscles are not as inflamed from the the disk that was out of place and pinching a nerve.
I don't use the support all the time, but do so when my back is really sore and need to give the muscles a bit of a break.
It isn't taking the place of the muscles, but when I am getting flare ups of the muscle spasms. It is good to have the support there to help put pressure on it so it doesn't drive me to my knees.
This is something that just happened on Wednesday, on Thursday I went to Chiropractor, got adjusted so the disk is back in and the muscles can begin to relax and aren't inflamed from the out of place disk. I went to Walmart and picked up the decent backsupport that will help that section of the spine till things get a little better and the spasms have stopped.
Normally I do not have a problem with my back, and this is the first time I have had a problem of this severity.
