I think Applebee's is damn lucky mom's got a cool head on her shoulders. She could have been a very rich woman over this if she had chosen to exploit the situation.
Why in the hell would they keep them in identical looking containers? That right there is just plain dumb.
It's a safety issue, as well as common sense. The same rule should apply behind a bar as it does in a chemical laboratory: NO UNLABELED CONTAINERS. EVER.
What's even worse, they've probably served apple juice to customers who ordered margaritas! The shame! The Horror!
If you wanted to get all paranoid, you could ask whether the two-year-old was being a real pain, making noise and misbehaving, perhaps with teething troubles. In a moment of frustrated madness the manager could have thought he could get it to be quiet by feeding it a margarita. I hear that mothers used to give teething babies a little scotch to sedate them.
