Gravatar It takes a lot of perseverance and dedication to yourself. However, I am struggling with my own evils and I keep trying but my husband likes to offer treats to me. (Maybe he likes me plump). I have about 25-30 to go. It is very hard. The first 20 was easy. I know that doesn't seem like a lot for some, but to me it is. I'm small framed, 5'3" so extra weight doesn't wear well here.

Anyhow, best of luck and you will do it when you are ready.

Gravatar One thing that is hard is eating healthy, the food for some reason is much more expensive.

Another thing I found out is you can lose like 10 lbs just by no longer drinking pop/soda.

RDangel you are correct that not eating slows the metabolism. It is not a concious choice I don't eat - it just happens I don't eat until I get hungry, and at that time, normally it 8 - 12 hrs have gone by and I notice I am hungry because then I have nasty 'hunger' headache and feel nauseous.

I think if I include dieting, which I might have too, I may start a type of journal to keep track of just what I am eating.

The main start needs to be a more active lifestyle. I mainly work in front of a computer 8-12 hrs a day, then when I get home, I have some play time with kids, and end up working more on the computer at home.

My food intake is actually not bad at all, I just need to eat some small healthy snacks through out the day, banannas, apples, oranges, ect. picked some fruit yesterday and have 2 big fruit bowls of fruit for everyone to eat. If I get more active, I think pounds will start coming off quickly - my weight doesn't fluctuate, it is essentially the the normal food intake but with having such a sedentary lifestyle.

Mmm, used to love eating sliced apples with peanut butter.

Maybe tonight or tomorrow I will post the recipe I had for Vegetable pizza (what others call it) but I ust called it Vegetable squares. It is really good, and a very good way to get your vegetables.
