While in the Navy,I was strongly against allowing women to serve on ships and it's antics like this that caused me to feel that way. It's like something outta some BS frat party. I've known women who were as dedicated and committed as any man and these women cheapened themselves and their sisters in arms. The whole chain of command of that outfit should've been busted big time, from NCOs to CO.

I would like to say that picture is from an MP unit whose chain of command was busted...at least that's the way I remember it.
So because THESE women cheapened themselves, ALL women should be banned from useful service to the nation? Here's a hint: The military didn't make these girls into people who thought that oil wrestling was a good idea; they were that way to start.
Also, IIRC the chain of command and everyone visible in the pic WERE reprimanded/ NJPed/ etc... including the ladies involved.
Oh yes, god forbid that servicewomen blow off steam in a war zone. Or men, either. They can kill and get killed. but heaven forbid that there be anything remotely suggesting any sort of sexuality or humanity. The prudes need to lighten up. These SOLDIERS were in country. Its like getting upset that the troops like to look at Playboy. Ooooh how terrible. Next thing you know, they will want to have an alcoholic beverage off duty. The infantilization of the Armed Forces just gets worse.

I would never think of doing such a thing, but unfortunately, I do know one or two that would. We hear comments encouraging such behavior all the time.
Examples-
My former 1sg would order us to roll in mud during PT. The guys would ask me to do it in a bikini. The strong females say no or walk away. The weak or young looking for approval will stand there and flirt.
And who brings thongs to a short mission in the rain forest?!?!?!? Not only did a National Guard female do this, but proudly line dried them OUTSIDE of the living quarters! *shudder*
My guys view me as one of the guys. One reason is they know I won't go into "girly mode" ("Mama mode" is a different story... Lol!) and they never have to acknowledge things like I do wear a sports bra (which is line dried discretely inside my living quarters).
