Drop your snowflakes here...

i still think the weirdest onsen moment for me was to appear nude in front of our sensei during the class trip. that was just so strange!! haha.

that's what we call "celebration in your birthday suit" ha ha...fyi, I love going to onsen and would always go there if I'm staying in Japan, I used to have pain in my foot due to excessive running, I thought like, well, maybe by submerging oneself in the hot sulphuric pool, the blood circulation in the body would improve and the pain would subside. True enough, after spending 2 to 3 hours in the hot water, my foot got better, albeit, it took 2 weeks for complete healing. when I was in the onsen, I felt normal and great, not feeling shy or embarrassed being completedly naked and surrounded by other nude Japanese males. actually, they didn't even care to look at other people. that was really a nice experience. highly recommended for anyone who hasn't been there before.

How wish I could've joined you guys...sounds so fun!!! I am glad you had a wonderful day!
Your story makes me yearning for some onsens, such as Kawaguchi or Unkai. There surely is nowhere to hide in onsen, haha. That is the reason why people have been there to negotiate even to opponents or enemies as we cannot bring swords nor guns.

Gravatar alden : eh, when was this - our final class trip?? that must have been with ikeda sensei then ^.^

thomas : ya, it's amazing how therapeutic the onsen can be. it's one of the things i wish i can bring back with me to malaysia! good to hear that your foot got healed too. a lot of people feel better overall after a dip in the onsen.

Ryu : yes ryu-san! you should've joined us ne! i especially miss those in niigata in the inaka area hehe... interesting point you made there about negotiation between opponents i didn't know that!
