I have to tell you with a newborn at home Ramen seems to have become my staple food. I cook it and then add some more spices to it. When the choice is between buying formula and real food the formula wins and Ramen it is for me.

You know what that grocery cart sized slab of ramen is good for? Mouse residence with built in food. We had one on a shelf in our basement. I took it down one day to find that the center was nibbled away, and in it's place were many mouse droppings, some fur, and a baby that didn't make it (eeeew). I'm sure they thought it was nirvana, and I've not eaten ramen myself since.

I have recently become a ramenfreak. Did you know they make mexican jalepeno style ramen? How about spicy cheesy ramen? I do now. I bought beef, chicken and shrip flavor, but hope to get the more "exciting" varieties at some point. God, how pathetic do I sound right now?

I'm surprised there is any remaining ramen in the world.

First off, re: Easy Mac, whenever I make it, the "sauce" is more like spackle. I used to eat it a half-dozen or so times every week, but eventually I realized that it was the solid rock of cheese and elbow pasta that was making me feel sick.
As for the Ramen, it has replaced Easy Mac on the list of foods I eat more often than is healthy, but anybody who consumes more than one serving per day is officially crazy. Of course, I'd heard stories about that guy from Gwen, so I already knew he's nuts.

You live near the most expensive grocery store of all time. Never go to Mayfair.
Cheap Living Tip: You can live for days off of one good package of red beans and rice.

Yeah, my personal Ramen was actually EZMac. It's not as cheap, but for a college student living without a kitchen, it was wicked easy to make. I actually burned myself once when I fell downstairs carrying a bowl of freshly made EZMac. It takes a while before you realize that a) the stuff sits like a rock in the pit of your stomach hours after eating it and b) no matter how much you fiddle with the water-"cheese" mix ratio, you're never going to get anything but a defiantly watery consistency to the sauce. I made the mistake of burning out on ramen while still in high school. By the time I got to college I couldn't stand them.
