Actually, a guy came around and asked if he could take it from us right before we left. I was kind of disappointed; I would have liked for the couch to stick around a while and annoy the Sims.
One of my initiations to LA many, many years ago involved a couch on the sidewalk. My second day in town, my first day apartment hunting around UCLA, and I walk past one of the frat houses where they are pushing a couch off a second floor balcony in order to leave it on the sidewalk for someone to collect. Lord knows how they got it on to the second floor in the first place. And needless to say, even though it was ratty and awful, it had been snapped up off the sidewalk within a few hours. I'm sure yours was too!
