I had chronic ingrown toenail infections in junior high and had that procedure done on one toe about 16 years ago. It's been fine ever since. Oddly, the other toe just stopped being badly ingrown all on its own, but now my 2 big toenails are of completely different widths. And I do remember the pain. It ranks fairly high up there.

My ear piercings always grow in too. I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm about to get them pierced for the fourth time (well fifth if you count the time I decided I should just shove them on in). Anyway, good luck with the toenails.

Gravatar Sadly, I can feel your pain, EXACTLY. I've had that procedure a total of four times - twice on both toes. So much for the 'oh, now the toenail won't grow back" bit. I will assure you that it does take YEARS. I'll also not give you the gory details of my subsequent, erm, foot-related complications. Happily today they are 100% healed and quite pretty, if I do say so, deep raspberry polish and all. Happy Vicoden!

Gravatar I had this done years ago, when I was in the 6th grade. They gave me 1 set of shots, waited for it to take affect, then the doctor started proding the area saying, " Can you feel this?" as I was screaming and writhing on the table. Yes asshole, I can, more shots please! I still have problems with them from time to time.

Gravatar I had to get that done too, expect my doctor got a phone call in the middle of the injections, so he went to answer it, so i bravely looked down at the toes and there was this big ass needle just sticking out of my foot with nothing holding it there except gravity.

Gravatar I just almost fainted remembering what those needles feel like. Thanks a lot.
