Berta, do you know how I can find out more about the tie rod thing being a common Focus tow problem? The Ford Focus has so many common problems that it's hard to find anything about it.
My brother would have nothing to do with repairing my car, that is for sure.
That's a coming towing injury for Ford Foci, but the towing guy still sucks for not knowing how to prevent it. On a side note . . . never let your brother attempt to straighten the rods with a vise and crowbar, unless you enjoy the emergency room.

In Ireland, if you part illegally and are caught they clamp your car so that it can't be moved. Does that make sense, this car is blocking the way, what will we do? We'll clamp it and make sure it never moves again, mwah ha ha ha. Then u have to call the dudes to come out and unclamp it. Which takes forever and thus causes a bigger obstruction.
my roommate walked back to her car after a date and found a note on her windshield. some guy had cursed her out for parking too close to his bumper and then signed off with "karma will GET YOU. don't come back here." she laughed; her date didn't. she didn't go out with him again.
we put the note up next to all the christmas cards.
...and I just erased two comments while trying to erase some spam comments from some Italian guy who wants me to look at his restaurants. Feel free to re-post if your comment got deleted.
I would have much preferred an Urban Asshole Notification card to the ticket I got.
And I'd call the police and have the car towed every single time it parked in front of my driveway whether I needed to get out or not, because I'm petty, petulant, and entitled.
I live about 2 blocks from an art house movie theater, some bars, lots of restaurants. People park in front of my driveway all the time. I have only called once to have the offending car towed, because usually when people park in front of my driveway I'm in for the evening anyway or I can just walk to wherever I'm going.
but I find that Glark's Urban Asshole Notification cards to be satisfying in situations like this!
