I tend to mentally link songs that weren't really intended to be linked, and for some reason, I always assumed "Wedding Bell Blues" was a follow up to The Crystals' "Da Doo Ron Ron", mostly because the guy's name in both is Bill.

Also, I assumed Bobby Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe" was about the same guy as in Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man" even though they were "Billy Joe" and "Billy Ray" respectively.
