I am waiting to hear back from a few other people, however. One of them is Natasha Tynes who is in Jordan, because one of the rumors is that a Jordanian news station played something to the effect of this story. Other are people inside Syria or Lebanon.

The story is not being posted on any of the rapidly updated newswires from the region either. I think the story has pretty much unraveled at this point, but there is always the possiblity.
