I have never understood Charlie's infatuation with Schwap. He's been horrible in every game he's played beginning with the 2005 Michigan State game wherein (in my humble opinion) he cost us the game. At the time it was understandable that he continued to see the field due to Rashon Pwers-Neal's suspension, but to continually play a guy that, for all intents and purposes, is only capable of lifting very heavy things boggles the mind.
Why are we unable to beat on guys that are 50 pounds lighter, slower, shorter, etc., etc., etc.?
Ugh.
This team is so bad that the last time I got mad at them was the PSU game. Since then, I only watch for the train-wreck style entertainment and the dark comedy factor they provide.
I'd bet my left nut that even Radio could've gone 6-6 with this team (excuse me while i rinse the puke from my mouth). I wish we could work out an arrangement where Ty(or any mediocre college coach who nonetheless knows you need full contact practices and lots of work on fundamentals for 18 and 19 year old players) coach each class for their first two years, upon which we'd fire him and let Charlie coach them their last 2 years.
In all seriousness though, we can't fire him before the end of 08. I say let him reel in his #1 recruiting class first. If next year is the same product, then by all means fire his ass and hope the talent he's assembled sticks around.
