How hard is it to learn the fullback position? Could Hughes be fitted into the fullback rotation while Aldridge is the starter? Or would that take away from him learning the RB position better (most notably blitz pickup)?

Some pessimistic predictions:
-If the Irish squad does badly next season, and especially if the O-line doesn't improve and Clausen suffers as a result, I predict people will be calling for Crist. I know it sounds asinine, and I don't know if it'll actually get changed, but if the offense looks anything like last year's prepare yourself for this.
-I'm predicting Aldrige a bust. He won't be healthy next year--he's never been healthy. This is a total prediction and not based on any inside knowledge. I'd look for a lot of Allen/Hughes alternating.
-I agree that Grimes will START the #2 receiver and I agree Floyd is ready to start coming in. What I think will happen a few games into the season, however, if Grimes moving back into that 3rd WR slot...it just fits his style/size/speed a lot more in charlie's system (he was born to run that 8 yards and out play). Tate will have a few plays that will mesmerize people and make ndnation bitch about why he doesn't play more. The true dark-horse in this race is Parris, who really impressed me at moments last year. If Floyd fails to impress, look for him to become #2. I agree that Kamara is our best hope.
-I agree Yeatman will be back. Our stable of TE's is formidable despite the attrition last year.
-OL: Here it is. The complete fulcrum that Notre Dame balances on for 2008 (and probably 2009 to an extent). How many of our problems in last year's abominable season would've been completely or partially fixed last year had our O-line been able to block well?
I'll save season predictions for when it's that time in August, but I'm both nervous and excited for next year's squad.

I predict the opposite of Tommy re: Aldridge. He'll break out this year and show why he was a 5 star recruit.
Of course, this heavily depends on the O line, which I doubt will improve leaps and bounds over last year but luckily will not face as tough a schedule as last year.
Also, I think Chris Stewart is a starter. If Duncan is a starter again there is no reason to think the line will improve.
