Seriously Jimmy, I don't think I've EVER seen a quarterback stare down his intended receiver like you did with Rudolph. Declan, my seven-year old, figured out you were throwing there. Come on.
That was almost on par with Sage Rosenfels' choke against the Colts a week ago.
And, for me, the defining moment of that game was when they had NC on a 3rd and 18 and let them pick-up 19 yards. I absolutely could not understand why they weren't bringing a little heat (4-man rush). Let them get a damn 10 or 12 yard pick-up, big deal. I got that queasy feeling after that.
I said the same thing on ndnation and got my head bit off for it. Jimmy had an otherwise outstanding performance. His stats were still great. But his turnovers killed the game, plain and simple.
Oh well. We get up, we move on.

I wouldn't let the defense off quite so easily though. Were they terrible? Certainly not. But they let UNC control the tempo of the game for the entire second half. The time of possession difference in that half has got to be ugly.

Luke, my math (FWIW) tells me that the Tarheel offense had the ball for a whopping 17 more seconds than the Irish during the second half.
