Why didn't you predict the bowl game? A decade's worth of evidence suggests that we will choose the most prestigious one we are offered and lose embarrassingly. I love our Irish, I truly do, but how about picking a bowl game you can win every once in a while so our quality draft picks don't go in the 47th round after that guy with the thing on his eye...

I didn't predict the bowl game because I didn't want to press my luck
Undoubtedly ND needs a bowl victory. If we do go 9-3, there is a good chance we'll be in a non-BCS bowl.

This season has GOT to be a little more topsy turvey than you've predicted here. I predict a big win over either michigan or usc, and a loss to a Boston College or Michigan State (eew on both of those). Either way, I agree with the 9-3 assessment.
My big hope for the season? Player development and continued interest on part of the ridiculous lineup of recruits we've got going.

I'd call this optomistic. I'd rather not get my hopes too high. I wouldn't mind if we lost to penn state. I just hope we win the games we are supposed to win and beat BC... BC sucks. But they are a dominant team this year. Aren't they Supposed to dominate the ACC this year? Returning like a million and a half starters? New coach with an unscouted scheme? They worry me alot.

Well I guess people are predicting different things for BC. I looked it up and you're right about the returning starters. 9 on defense and 7 on offense. Plus they have a new offensive coordinator.

I pretty much agree with you Luke. I think Notre Dame is going to be a much better team than most people think. The one minor quibble I have about your predictions is that I think ND will lose at Penn State as that young offense will still be geling together at that point.
