This guy is crazy.... if he had his way, the Colts would have fired Tony Dungy two years ago for only making it to the playoffs every year he's been a coach here. I only read the Star for Hutch's blog and columns, the rest is a waste of space.

Gravatar Toss up between him, Ben Smith from the FWJG (http://www.journalgazette.net/apps/pbcs.dll/ article?AID=/20070918/SPORTS0203/709180403/-1/ SPORTS) and Demetrius Jones, I think.

Gravatar The guys is a dirt bag. Unfortunately, he gets hits to the Star website from all the domers who rush over there to hand his ass to him with a few facts. You would think the editors over there would get a little tired of this guy making them look like a bunch of mental midgets....then you read the rest of that piece of garbage rag and realize he IS living up to expectations there.

Gravatar Also, how much does it speak to how players feel about the Star that they can't even get a good interview with any of the star players? When was the last time you've read an article in the Star that had note-worthy quotes from local athletes that weren't told to other publications first?

Athletes hat the Star. Educated readers hate the Star. Who actually reads it?

Gravatar 1. there are multiple asshats out there posing as members of the media and illegally collecting salaries from companies in which we own stock for publishing fraudulent information about notre dame.
2. we have been tracking them and collecting evidence since 2002 and have gotten a few fired.
3.it is now time to punish these ethnic and religious bigots in the courts and get them terminated.
4. if the employers do not clean out these asshats on their own, we, as shareholders in the companies that pay their salaries, either directly or through companies that will pull advertising and other revenues, can force their termination.
5. stories about how badly nd has played so far this year are fair game. the fraudulent racist hate mongering has no place in any society.

6. we already knew about the asshats at espn.com, the sporting news, sports illustrated, and some other publications. they are all pursuing private agendas to promote other football programs by putting out fraudulent information about nd and the other schools that are playing the game with integrity.

7. we will bring down the economic thunder on these asshats.

8. economic boycotts by nd fans and by the many football programs that play the game with integrity will do a lot more than sending this jerk emails. he has no integrity. he will delete them all.

thank you for identifying this jerk, we had missed him. he is probably bucking for a gig from some of trhe asshats at espn.com,

Ty Willingham's record at Stanford. They love to accuse Notre Dame of firing him because he's black, but nobody talks about he was most likely hired because he's black - at least that's my suspicion. That record is nothing to take anybodys breath away by any stretch of the imagination. It's even easier for Kravitz to throw that bullshit around since he's a self-described liberal, and seems to really sink his teeth into identity and race politics in sports.

All he ever does is throw bombs.

Gravatar An article worth checking out about Weis, whether you like it or not:

http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/sto...b/story/ 7243060

Here's hoping for a win on Saturday.

Gravatar I read that Rosenberg column just now and I found it incomprehensible. If he's got an argument or even a cogent line of thought in it, I was unable to identify it.

I certainly agree that Weis has got serious problems this year, but I'd like to get to the bottom of what's going on, as opposed to just attacking the man's ego.

Gravatar Willingham was hired because he was hot at the time, having taken stanford to the rose bowl, and because his record was squeaky clean, something ND needed after the O'Leary fiasco.

Gravatar It seems like all these guys were saying the same thing last year after we lost to Michigan and UW was off to a decent start. But then when the season played out and ND went to the Sugar Bowl while UW hit a six game losing streak including a solid beating by Stanford, these guys were nowhere to be found. Food for thought....

Gravatar Tommy O. Don't forget that TW was also hired thanks to the pressures put on ND by ESPN et. al. From the moment O'Leary was announced, the pundits were crying out that TW got the shaft and that he was the right man for the job. And then ran a half dozen articles/features/columns on the lack of black head coaches in the NCAA ranks.

I spent the better part of my morning yesterday on the comments on this article, throwing out the facts that Kravitz and the Purdue fans overlooked. Then I realized that it was a waste of time dealing with these mental midgets and decided to go earn my keep. I could not agree more with the Asshat of the Week award (and Ben Smith, the clock is ticking on your bearded red ass).

Gravatar Tommy,
I knew what the party-line on his hire was, but it was still (I thought)an ill-conceived choice that didn't have any real substance to back it up (largely a paean to political correctness).

Just my two cents.

Gravatar John K... why is that article 'worth' checking out? He contradicts himself every paragraph halfway through started making things up because he probably had a minimum-word count.

I usually ban myself from reading about the Colts and Notre Dame 2-3 days after a loss... I think I'm going to have to find out how to get Firefox to block anything with the word 'Notre Dame' in it.

Gravatar Just read the Rosenberg article. I'd like to see more articles like that in every sports section or sports page. The alumni and students alike should be calling for Weiss' head. I've come to the realization that, with parity in college football these days, Notre Dame is likely never to return to glory. And maybe that okay. But an 0-4 start, come on.
