Where did you find that at? Everything I have seen says they did not eavesdrop on domestic calls, and they only collected the statistics on domestic calls (no conversations - just phone numbers and so on). That is a distinct difference.
Of course, it really doesn't matter, since it appears the story is fake anyways.
There are plenty of Republicans who don't support Bush - mostly because of his lack of fiscal conservatism. I am one of them. He does have some good ideas - social security reform is one of them, though it is hardly original. The independent report that just came out today has the Social Security in worse condition than expected.
But as far as that goes, there are plenty of people that says the election of the President is the lesser of two (or more) evils. That truly was the case this time. The alternative to Bush was even worse in many people's minds - though of course we will never know for sure now. But as you seem to push poll numbers, how come you didn't mention that the approval numbers for Kerry are even worse than they are for Bush?
As expected, Scott jumped blindly onto yet another anti-Bush story and immediately posted it here. As we now know, the NSA did NOT eavesdrop on any US phone calls and have simply gathered a database of phone numbers, none of which have names or addresses attached to them. Scott is just another America-hater who looks at 9/11 as an "inconveniance".
