Great blog, Granville. I hope you're a reporter in RL, otherwise you're wasting your talents.
Can't wait to see Yi in action now! Nothing would give me greater satisfaction than seeing him fall completely flat on his face.

I watched part of the Chicago game. Yi had a bit of that "deer in the headlights" look to him. I wonder what level of competition he has faced before and how it compares to NBA level ball?
I am certainly not predicting any kind of success for this guy, but it might be hard to project what we've seen so far into any kind of future expectation.
I suspect you are right, but it will be interesting to see where his development is after 40 games.

Archnemesis Spudz, I've goofed around in publishing before as a hobby, nothing serious. Thanks for the comments but I can't ever see turning pro.
Puff, I was so dumbfounded during the Chicago game that I had to watch it twice (thankfully the local station broadcast it like 4 time in a row that night). The first time I was so astounded at how lacking in strength and athleticism the guy is that I didn't really watch much of the game.
Bill Simmons called him "The Chinese Brad Lohaus" (albeit before he'd seen Yi either), that's actually frighteningly accurate.
