I imagine you're not a Catherine MacKinnon fan (nor am I), but I've always thought her argument about how the male/patriarchal point of view is embedded in rape law is interesting. As she points out, the entire system operates on the premise that consent is inferred. i.e.male sexual access to women is only limited by the law when there is evidence of more than \"normal\" amount of force.

So you disagree with McKinnon's critique of liberal feminism's claim that rape is violence, not sex?
