Would you have been able to beat those guys if it had been on your home trails, like Rockcut or Palos?

Never said I "could" or "would." I don't play that game. In terms of how my race went, I was OK to only lose 2min per lap to Ron. Even you have to admit -- knowing the CR trails is helpful, they're pretty twisty and turny.

SM100! Can't wait to get down there. We're staying in Harrisonburg. Are you going to be there?

Ron is fast everywhere. As Matt, I don't know him, but maybe he is just fast?

To quote myself: "My riding wasn't podium worthy." I know myself to know that *I* ride better on trails I'm familiar with, and am much more relaxed because of it. Again quote: "I was pretty tight." I did not ride great that day. I lost.
If you're trying to say I would have lost even on more familiar territory, you're probably right. So what? What I'm saying is that I may have felt better about *my* ride if I had been more relaxed.

No SM 100 for me, too much going on here. Good Luck,
I didn't think your comments about the race with Matt and Ron were out of line, made perfect sense to me that you didn't know the terrain and this was one factor for you...

Thanks Stephen -- Goat is right, though, I do know the terrain enough to be successful, just not as much as others.
