i think NEXT is naturally the Big Sur Marathon. You can share the room that Ben and I booked near the start.
I effed up my middle finger two seasons ago. It's still bigger than the rest and still doesn't act like a normal finger. I went to a dr about it at one point and all they did was give me an overpriced splint and "exercises." Total waste. So, skip the Dr and just bend it alot as "exercise" and then try to keep it straight-straight when you can.

Longtime reader, first time commenter...I bent and completely dislocated my pinkie finger while endo-ing off my cross bike a number of years ago. The finger was a good 90 degrees out of place and I had broken the digit closest to the hand lengthwise. A visit to the ER got all that sorted out and I had a custom brace to secure the finger for a month or so before launching into PT exercises. The flexibility did come back after following through on regularly doing the exercises. I would suggest that you get it checked out so that it can heal properly. As a sidenote, getting the digital dam painshot and then having a linebacker sized ortho resident hauling away at my poor pinkie was a surreal experience. Ask JPE.

Go to your Whole Foods, grab a bottle of Arnica (with your good hand) and use it.
