Gravatar There is too much doom and gloom being spewed by the media and others.

I personally am getting tired of hearing the out of context remarks from Greenspan and the negative interpretation of things from a collection of Marxist quacks at the IMF.

If anyone is interested in a more realistic point of view below is a link to a speech given by Steve Forbes to the Young Americas Foundation last May, I believe.

Forbes reminds us that from 2003 to 2007, the growth alone in the US economy was larger than the total Chinese economy today and that during the same period the US created more jobs than the rest of the world combined.

McCain has the balanced view and he needs to be taken seriously.

Gravatar "...and an avalanche of small tasks appeared this week."

Obviously keeping you from announcing your intentions about more important matters.

The MOB wants to know: DO YOU INTEND TO RUN FOR A SECOND TERM???

Gravatar Why would I do that? I don't work for McCain, and I didn't sign the economists' letter for McCain. He might wish to call the situation in the banking sector a total crisis while insisting the fundamentals of the economy are sound, but I don't see his arguments as being that nuanced. So I suspect McCain and I disagree about this now.

Gravatar Okay, well enough, but why does McCain now call it a "total crisis"? Perhaps you better change your message around to support his claim that it's a total crisis?
