I've only read the first of Ward's books, but I like your casting. VERY nice.

I can't imagine anybody wanting to read about a bunch of wannabes when they could have the real deal.
The Divine Federlines of the Yo-Yo Brotherhood. Yeah, I'm going to be laughing about that for a good long time.

I don't read JR Ward and don't plan to, but if the heroes were like that instead of being posers, I'd sign on, even with the silly ass names and the H's stuck in for no apparent reason.

Can I just have Gary Dourdan? No particular reason except I've been lusting after the man since his stint on A Different World. I promise to return him in good (but exhausted) condition. Damn!

Actually, having read the series, I think your picks are right on the money! And I even think "Fiddy" would make the perfect Tohment. If they ever make it into a movie they should get these brothas for sure. LOL.

I'm glad you ladies like my line-up. I thought I'd add some authenticity to the mix, ya know.
And Roz, you can have Gary, but no one but me can touch Darren. Somethin' 'bout that smile of his.
And Gwen, I guess Fiddy can be Tohrment; after all, he's lived a hard life.
Annie, I know nothing about the madness that went into the spelling of those names; resisted the temptation to name 'em right.

Yanno Ann(ie), until I saw your question I didn't quite get the weird spellings. Just thought it was a writer being, you know, crazy. Nothing strange about that. But that's not what it is at all.
They're Ebonic the names! How in the hell did I miss that? Now damnit we have to draw the line somewhere. Cultural appropriation is one thing, but goddamnit leave our 'non-standard' names the fuck alone.

LL has to fight it out with Fiddy then for the role of Tohrment. But I'm sure Cool can take him.

But.. ::channelling Chris Rock:: Fiddy got shot 9 times. NINE TIMES!
Hands down, Mr. Lovah-Lovah, lip lickin', dimples and all, would be my choice way ahead of Fiddy.

Whoever is praying for him, is praying right. Some sports drink co he has an interest in (Google "50 cent energy drink") just got bought out by Coca-cola netting Fiddy a oool $400 million. Yeah, you read that right: Four. Oh. Oh. ... Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Ooooh! ::fanning self:: *g*

Whew! Now if this is what JR was really writing about I'd be all over those books. Instead her stuff reads like Jamie Kennedy out of Malibu's Most Wanted. Seriously, I tried reading her latest but when she mentioned Jacob the Jewler I was done.

I love this! Love it! Especially "Rhage" and "Vishous"? Who is V anyway? I've seen that picture used for another hero (you know, someone's mental image of someone), and he is beautiful!
I adore the BDB, admittedly absurd though they are.
And apropos, of nothing, my husband was going on and on about Fifty Cent's bod the other night. He was having major chest envy.

Jacob the Jeweler? Wow, that's so patently stereotypical. But then again, the series are relying on stereotypes of black men to color her heroes.
Devon, "Vishous" is actually actor Gary Dourdan; you've probably seen him on CSI, without the dreds but a medium afro. He used to be on "A Different World" with the dreds playing the pro-African, anti-establishment, anti-assimilationist brother who dated Freddi.
Also earlier, I meant to post this page about Vikings Darren Sharper (Rhage).

Aha! Thanks, I knew he looked familiar, but I don't really watch CSI. He's a handsome guy, but IMO the dreads ratchet things up a notch. I like.

I'd be more than pleased if these were the line up for the black dagger brotherhood. Is Fiddy really Thorment though?
And Will Smith gets no part? Is he too happy?

That is a parade of hotness right thar. Except for Fiddy. It's not that he's not hot. It's just that he's always struck me as a little slow. The furnace is on, but nobody's home.

I wasn't impressed with the BDB as strangely addicted which is odd, because as a young woman in my twenties, I am still in tune enough with the teenage populace so I cringed over the 'hip' dialogue. I rationalized it by saying that she had their dialogue like that, intentionally, to show that they were so old that they didn't really have the modern slang down. Though, all that said, BDB does feed my need for vampires quite well.
Though, you know who you are missing from this list? J. August Richards. He played Gunn in the vampire show, Angel, and was a kick-ass vampire fighter. That guy is pretty hot.

I absolutely love the series-I'm about to read it again! I hope she writes more. I thought they were black, so I kept picturing them as such.
I would have Underwood and Snipes duke it out for Wrath. I would put the man Ladies Love Cool James in place of 50 cent.
Thank you for my visuals. Now when I read the series again, I will picture these brothas!
What about a mixture though? Some white some black? Just a thought.
