Gravatar You have nothing to be embarrassed about. *hugs* We all go through hard times and it's hard as hell to ask for help.

Gravatar Thanks for the kind words, Emma. I appreciate it.

Gravatar No worrys. *hugs*

Gravatar You have nothing to be embarrassed about love, though I understand how difficult it must be for you. Thank you so much for letting us help you. My mama always said that when we don't allow others to help us we're blocking them from their blessings. So, think of this as you helping us out.

Gravatar No worries. Karen S said something about an auction. Please let me know when and where.

Gravatar Many people may not have money to contribute, but could auction their skills or things they have. May I suggest you organize a community where that can happen? Something like this, where $30K was raised for a small publisher by many generous people in the SF community.

Gravatar Keep your head up, times will get better!

Gravatar Thank you all for your help and your good wishes. I'm overwhelmed by the outpouring. For so long, I shouldered this alone b/c friends and relatives are going through a financial crunch, also, and could only do so much. I understand everybody is feeling the pain of this economy. I've always been able to make do (my last job gap was about 15 years ago and only lasted a few months), but this time around, things got a little rougher. I've never faced imminent homelessness, no matter how bad things got in the past, so I appreciate all of the effort, no matter what form it takes. Even if nothing more than prayer.

Gravatar Sharon, God bless you and your family. Know that many are praying with and for you and God is moving on your behalf even now. You're right, times are hard. But theres never a time we don't need each other and there should never be a time when we don't make time for those in need. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your blessing.

Keep the faith!

Gravatar Sharon,

So sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re currently going through. My heart and prayers go out to you and your mom.

Also, glad that you decided to go ahead with the fundraiser despite your initial misgivings. Although it's true that things are tight for many these days, I believe it’s also true that there are those out there – family, friends and admirers of your work - who can and would welcome an opportunity to offer you their support, given the chance.

So, all the best to you. Keep faith that things will get better. God bless!

Gravatar I just can't thank you guys enough. You've given me new hope for the new year.
