Talk Back!

Gravatar I don't know how much this will help, but if you have someone e-mail me I'll grant permission to use anything of mine. For things that have been published, they'll still need permission from the free mags, too, but I doubt it would be a problem. You might consider contacting Amy Knitty and Kerrie of Magknits to see if something can be arranged on a grander scale. With their permission, I'm sure the individual designers will come on board, too. Both mags have several very nice patterns that are perfect for this kind of event.

Gravatar I have heard designers are often receptive to allowing their patterns to be used if you ask permission.

Gravatar I remember reading somewhere that it is legal to sell a project made from a copywrited pattern if the money is given to charity. I think they were talking about cross stitch kits, but I imagine the same could apply to knitting.

Gravatar It is very pretty, even if not quite what you were going for. Hope you can make it work somehow!

Gravatar I think the London Beanie pattern: http://www.knitting-and.com/knit...ndon- beanie.htm is offered up for anyone that wants to make it and sell it (at least that what it says at the bottom of the page). good luck!

Gravatar I'm SOO glad you have that tape yarn. I love seeing the prettiness you are making!

Gravatar Wow Marnie, what WERE you thinking? Just say no to mixing knitting with two-buck chuck.
