Talk Back!

Gravatar I love the patterns in the new Jaeger Handknits JB35. All of them call for fingering weight yarn.

Gravatar I'm drooling over both your yarn and your artichoke. Where did you find those? Some day we'll have to get Panda and Saber together for a play date!

Gravatar the color of your yarn and artichoke is amazing. and cool pics.

Gravatar The wedding looks amazing. And so does your artichoke! I've never seen a purple one before. Heck, I haven't even seen a decent green one since I moved to Pennsylvania!

Gravatar I purchased a bunch of this yarn last year when they had it and made a really soft shawl, which my sister inherited. It really has nice drape for shawls and scarves.

Gravatar Yay purple!
Yay artichokes!

But what a dog. She's such a lucky grrrrl, getting to run on the beach...

thanks for the head's up on a great yarn, too.

Gravatar Thanks for sharing the pics of your friend's wedding. Very beautiful. Your wrap looked wonderful with the dress too.

Gravatar Very nice color for your yarn and for the artichoke too !

Gravatar I bought the exact same yarn (same color, too) to make a 3/4 sleeve version of the "stripes go round" top from interweave knits summer 2004. (p82) Basically, it's just a round-yoke very simple top worked from bottom up with narrow garter stitch edging. Email me if you want more info about the pattern.

Also, I bought some extra skeins of this in a pretty medium blue to make the "heirloom (read: completely impractical) aran baby set" from IK Spring 2004 issue, p88. It's so cute that it's just hard to resist, but it seems like a good project to work on the side for a future baby (I'm probably a couple of years out from that point). Or it could be a gift for a very special friend's baby--way too much work for anyone you're not really close to.

The artichoke looks so yummy and a gorgeous color, too! Does it turn green when cooked like purple beans?

Gravatar That is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen. What a sweetheart!

KC

Gravatar Okay, now I have to try the local hoity-toity grocery to see if they have the purple artichokes. I probably would have passed them by if not for your favorable review. I LOVE artichokes. The wedding photos are great, it looks like it was a great party!

Gravatar Oh, and Panda is just adorable!

Gravatar Hey, I know someone in those pics! Which is weird 'cause you're in LA, right? And I'm in podunk central NY.... (image 13 in the third link)

Love the artichoke yarn! Well, and the 'chokes, too.

Your work is beautiful! Keep it up!
