Talk Back!

Gravatar When I saw your foot en pointe, I kinda guessed you are / were involved in dance and that's true enough after reading your 100 things The sock is lovely! No worries about your ankle, it looks fine

Gravatar I have the same feeling as lyn ... I thought you must be a ballerina. For me, I have never posed like that ... so it must be a dancer's thing. Lovely socks!

Gravatar Lovely socks! And yes, I think, my ankles look big, too, when I photograph myself with the socks, at least sometimes.

Gravatar Love the socks!!! Does the ribbing feel at all funny to walk around on?

Gravatar Fat Ankle Syndrome happens to all of us when photographing our socks [well, most of us anyway!]. The sock is BEAUTIFUL! I will definitly want to make this sock. Yay, Marnie!!

Gravatar oooooh, Barbara... good question. Marnie?

Gravatar Wow! Amazing socks! I love your design.

Gravatar your corset is absolutely beautifull!!!

Gravatar Great socks! Looking forward to the pattern!

And as Circe mentions above - the corset looks terrific.

Gravatar Yeah, it's true! Self-photographing socks = fat ankles! But the sock is awesome! Looking forward to the pattern, chica! And thanks for your nice comment today.

Gravatar Excellent sock! Especially excellent since it's your first try. I'll look forward to seeing the pretty pattern.

Gravatar Very nice! I do love that pattern! Thanks for sharing!

Gravatar Beautiful socks and the corset is stunning. I'm excited for the pattern.

Gravatar Oh my gosh...I saw you on Knitty Gritty a couple of days ago!!! I may have been a replay, but it was the first time I had seen it! You were AWESOME!

Love the socks too!

Gravatar Love the socks and would love the pattern too.

Gravatar Found you from Mim's site. Beautiful socks! And I love your No Hummers! LOL

Gravatar Gorgeous socks, and I love the difference in stitch pattern from front to back of the sock! You've convinced me now that I need to try some luscious yarns like yours in socks; before, I've always felt kind of limited, like I "had" to stick to a wool/nylon blend. But yours look irresistible, and I haven't treated myself to something like this before. Congrats on creating such a pretty pattern and inspiring other knitters again. ;o)

Gravatar Excellent, EXCELLENT sock! I love it!

And, yes, when we look down at our own legs they look thick. That's why our legs look better in a mirror (or store window) than when we look down at them.

I wonder if propping a mirror against the wall (a la shoe store) might help get a picture that is more ankle flattering?

And, again, you make me SO PROUD with the corset. Thank you.

Gravatar For another "fix" of Marnie on DIY Network's Knitty-Gritty, you can tune in on July 24 at 4:30 PM Eastern or August 18 at 4:30 PM Eastern. If socks aren't enough, you may get inspired to do legwarmers. Of course, in the current heat wave most of the US is experiencing, something lacier may seem more appropriate.

Gravatar Those are lovely. And I wouldn't even have noticed the ankle thing if you hadn't mentioned it.
You deserve all those great comments. It is really beautiful.

Gravatar Indeed! Nice arch AND sock.

Gravatar Your socks are gorgeous. The detail makes me think of scales - fish, snake maybe dragon???!

I'm new to sock knitting, actually - just started on "Padded Footlets" out of Interweave Knits... I would really love having the pattern for your socks, though - I wonder how they would look in a blue/green yarn ^_^
